Askinoise partnered withfriends at Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream to create this flavor-driven chocolate bar. They were inspired by the way they pasteurize raw milk and cream from small herds of grass-pastured cows to make their intensely creamy, milky ice creams. Just as each batch of our chocolate is handcrafted to the nuances of the cocoa bean, we adore the way Jeni’s brings the best to each flavor showcased in their ice creams.

We handcraft this single-origin 60% dark chocolate with cocoa beans we source directly from farmers in Mababu, Tanzania, along with malted milk powder and organic cane sugar.

This milky chocolate is certified kosher dairy. 

More About the Maker: Askinosie Chocolate is one of the original American craft chocolate makers, founded in 2005. We're a Father/Daughter family business with less than 30 employees known for making award-winning (almost 70+ and counting!) chocolate and pioneering Direct Trade in the chocolate industry. We make single origin dark, milk and white chocolate bars with minimal processing and ingredients. We're passionate about regenerative agriculture, sustainability and transparency. Our team of 8 chocolate makers roasts, tempers, molds and packages all of our chocolate by hand in our micro-factory in Springfield, MO. Shawn Askinosie, Founder & CEO, travels to each of our four origins yearly to work with farmers, inspect our next crop of beans and share profits with our farmer partners who we feature on our packaging. We publish our annual transparency report on our website, where we detail how much in total we've paid to our smallholder cocoa farmer partners, including profit shares. We're proud to be the only chocolate maker working directly with multiple female-led farmer groups. Our aim is to make the best-tasting chocolate possible--and that the more you learn about it, the better you feel about it.
