Grown wild and foraged by the Ningthi village in the Ukhrul hills, this sundried and hand-pounded Heimang or Chinese Sumac is sourced for us by our friends at Hillwild.

Wild Heimang Sumac is a rare and delightful variety of sumac with tasting notes of black tea, jujube, and cranberry, layered on top of the bright, lemony tartness. A natural souring agent beloved in South Asian and Middle Eastern cooking alike, this tangy spice is perfect sprinkled over watermelon, tossed into grain salads, rubbed onto grilled meats, or stirred into yogurt dressings for a pop of fruity acidity.

Ingredients: 100% Wild Heimang Sumac
