More About the Maker: We make French style caramels with unexpected ingredients that revel in Asian American flavor. Our founder & head chef, Justin Chao started Le Bon Garcon in 2010 inspired by a year abroad in Paris learning French confectionery technique. Our unique flavors are inspired by Justin’s childhood spent in LA Chinatown and the dynamic flavors he fell in love with there. Unparalleled in quality and irresistible in flavor, our caramels make any moment deliciously memorable.

Le Bon Garçon’s paper and parcels feature designs inspired by Chao's Popo’s collection of 1950s Chinese porcelain. Chao wanted to bring the rich history of Jingdezhen enamelware to his customers, showcasing the caramels alongside artwork that shared a similar commitment to artisanal tradition. Chao worked with artist Rob Sato to render these familiar porcelain patterns in vivid, hand-painted watercolor. Each perfected small batch is wrapped with the beauty of an heirloom object, and designed to be shared.
