A beautiful addition to your kitchen, with classic Bauhaus design. Watch the water go from cold to boiling in this classic stovetop glass kettle, made in Germany from heat-resistant borosilicate glass. It’s built for daily use for tea, coffee, or cooking. The ergonomic handle and easy-pour spout make it comfortable to use, and the glass lid completes a clean, practical design.

Borosilicate glass resists thermal shock, so it handles rapid temperature changes without cracking or breaking. The markings are printed directly on the glass instead of on a sticker, so they won’t peel or wear away. If the lid ever breaks, it can be replaced individually.

Made in Germany

More About the Maker: Trendglas Jena carries on one of the great traditions in household glass. In the 1890s, Otto Schott and Ernst Abbe developed borosilicate glass in the German city of Jena, first for optical and laboratory use. From the 1920s, designers from the Bauhaus circle, including Wilhelm Wagenfeld, turned it into heat-resistant kitchen and tea glass, and Jenaer Glas became a household name. When production at Schott Jenaer Glas ended in 2005, the original designs, moulds, and equipment were taken over, and these classic shapes are still made today under the Trendglas Jena name.

Everything is made from borosilicate glass 3.3, valued for its resistance to heat, thermal shock, and chemicals. That is why it suits teapots, kettles, carafes, and kitchen glass that go from stove or kettle to table without clouding or cracking. The designs are plain and functional, with nothing to date them, and the range has grown to include newer pieces alongside the Jena originals. The SIGN teapots won the 2013 iF design award, and the SOLO teapot line has been honored in Germany and Hungary.
